The same happens in a spray booth, where during the drying cycle, the air flows around the car in a equal turbulent flow to the extraction pit, the air hardly hardly touches the car, (ideal in spraying mode).

By making the air turbulent in drying mode, because of the interaction with cross-flow from the jet flow, air will hit more of the bodywork which will result in a quicker warming up of the panels and the evaporation will be much quicker.

This will result in a faster drying of air.
